FRACTURED TERRAIN 2
wood, bronze
39x31x3in / 99x79x7cm
2014
Fractured Terrain represents a divided landscape. It references my migration from the US to Australia and feeling torn between two countries. The branch intersecting the landscapes has two figures looking at one another. This can be interpreted as a reflection of the two aspects of my identity or representing separation from my family/homeland. Both are spilt apart, yet still connected at the roots.
