ANATOMY OF A CANYON
wood, bronze
41.5x29x7in / 105x73x18cm
2006
Two bent spires arch toward each other supporting wind-blown bronze trees. The stratum of wood gives the impression of layered sandstone canyon walls. A solitary figure is imbedded in the wood as if a fossil from another time. The spires subtly resemble the human anatomy and suggest an inherent interconnection we have with the landscape.
