This work is a derivative of the Trees installations I first started making in 2004. It explores themes of humans and the world around interconnecting, new growth and change. The piece to alludes to having a solid connection with the immediate environment but also the ability to change within this environment. This is suggested by the branches reaching for a direction different to the trunk. We may have a solid base or foundation but we must also be able to adapt to world around us as it changes. Then we can truly find our place in the world
